My photography goes beyond just taking pictures; it's about promoting the vital importance of protecting New Zealand's incredible wildlife. My Portfolio/ Website aims to be a valuable educational resource for community groups and the wider general public, providing information on how people are able to protect the bird life in different ways that suits there ability. I feel fortunate in having the opportunity to share my portfolio of the images of wild bird life i have captured during the course of my study. I was able to utilise the beautiful surroundings for my photoshoot close to where I live in Christchurch

About Andrew Meadows.
My name is Andrew Meadows, I am based in Christchurch, New Zealand however I spend most of my time living in Fiji which allows me time with my family and my partner. I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Photography through the Southern Polytechnic. My journey began with a deep appreciation for New Zealand's unique environment during the covid lockdown which lead me to focus on wild bird life and experimental creative photography. I'm dedicated to sharing these images and using them to advocate for conservation. I enjoy all aspects of photography especially monochrome and creative photography. I started playing around taking photos with my small digital l camera during the lockdown period. It was one activity for me to do so I wouldn't get bord having to remain at home in my bubble. Since lockdown photography has developed into a passion of mine which gives me a sense of purpose in life.

My images of wild bird life are to promote an educational resource for community groups, schools and the wider community. The intended use of my portfolio is to present various images of birds that have mostly settled around wetland areas, including birds that you may see around the neighbourhood. As you scroll through my website, I hope you are able to pick up the essence of how precious wild birds are . The objective is to present my portfolio as a resource in order to feel inspired in the protection of wild bird life.
